- Students can only take the IELTS Academic exam on the following dates and in the following exam center.
- The exams are limited to the quota specified by the institution.

IELTS TEST REGISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR AUGUST
- How to Register
If you would like to take the IELTS test, please register using the link below:
Registration deadline: 4 August 2026 at 9:00 p.m.
No registrations will be accepted after this deadline.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Send Your Test Result to Bilkent University After Registration
After completing your registration and payment, you MUST complete the following step in the system:
* Click “Notify institutions.”
* Select “Bilkent University School of English Language.”
This step is mandatory. If you do not complete it, your IELTS test result will not be sent to Bilkent University.
- IMPORTANT: Pay Attention to the Date Displayed on the Registration Page
When you open the registration link, you will see only one date: 1 January 2027. This is NOT your actual test date.
After you complete your registration, you will receive two emails:
* First email: Shows 1 January 2027. Please IGNORE this email.
* Second email: Sent by IDP. This email contains your ACTUAL test date. Once your transfer process has been completed, the correct test date, time, and venue will be provided in this second email.
- Test Date Cannot Be Selected or Changed
* Your test date and time will be assigned automatically by the system.
* Candidates cannot choose their own test date or time.
* There is no option to transfer or change your assigned test date.
- WHEN WILL THE TEST TAKE PLACE?
Your test will be scheduled within one of the following periods:
* 10–14 August 2026
* 17–21 August 2026
* 24–28 August 2026
You will learn your exact test date and time from the second email sent by IDP.
- WHERE will the Test Be Held?
The test will be held at IDP’s Necatibey test center, NOT at the main office.
The full address and location link will be included in the emails sent to you.
- What You Need to Do (by 4 August 2026, 9:00 p.m.)
* Complete your registration using the link above.
* Make your payment and select “Bilkent University School of English Language” under “Notify institutions.”
* Upload the required documents to the English Preparatory Program system.
* Make sure that your application has been approved.
8. Please take a screenshot of the confirmation email and upload it into the system as booking summary.

The conditions listed above are applicable to students who are currently registered at Bilkent University, are Turkish citizens and plan to continue their undergraduate programs. Students applying to graduate programs and international students applying to undergraduate programs can find more information here.
Reminders for students:
1. Decide on the exam you want to take and check the exam dates. You need to upload your documents to the English Language Preparatory Program system at least 21 days before the exams. Documents are not accepted in person.
2. For your questions, you can contact the English Language Preparatory Program (Elif Kantarcıoğlu, East Campus, N Building, CZ09 – Phone: 290 1802).
3. Remember to take the following documents to the exam venue with you:
- Bilkent University Student ID card
- Turkish ID card or passport
Please remember that you cannot take anything else with you into the exam room.
4. On the day of the Speaking exam, please do not forget to make sure (for both Bilkent University and IDP separetely) your photo is taken and you sign. If you do not have a photo on the exam day, your exemption process cannot be completed.
5. Remember to have your exam results posted electronically to the Bilkent University (Recognizing Organization) address below. Hard copies are not required. However, if need be, hard copies can be posted to:

6. Bilkent University English Language Preparatory Program reserves the right to investigate exam results for reliability purposes, the right to give an exam to students, to check the validity of their exam results and the right to not accept exam results that are considered to be suspicious.
